Screen Manchester: HETV Industry Training
As part of the Screen Manchester Connected Campus program, I underwent intensive training in professional set etiquette and industry-standard workflows. This workshop bridged the gap between academic design and the fast-paced reality of High-End TV, focusing on departmental communication, 'standby' duties, and the logistical management of a professional wardrobe on location.
I gained exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the wardrobe departments of the Palace Theatre and Manchester Opera House. This professional insight session focused on the logistical complexities of large-scale touring theatre. I explored the management of high-volume costume inventories, the precision required for maintaining 'show-ready' garments under rigorous performance schedules, and the collaborative workflow between touring wardrobe teams and venue staff. This experience provided me with a realistic understanding of the stamina and organisational excellence required to support world-class theatrical productions.
