Textile Design
The Project: Saskeya explored the themes of 'Costume' and 'Tropical' for her final A-Level collection.
Carousel Highlights for 'Costume'. For this project, Saskeya designed and executed a high-impact costume inspired by 1980s Goth subculture, blending a contemporary edge with the iconic silhouettes of Beetlejuice, Elvira, and Wednesday Addams. The ensemble features a sharp, tailored, cropped blazer contrasted against a voluminous, multi-layered circle skirt, demonstrating her ability to balance structured tailoring with complex fabric manipulation to create a cohesive, character-led aesthetic.
Carousel Highlights for 'Tropical'. Under a strict 15-hour timed examination, Saskia designed and constructed a bespoke dress inspired by the fluid textures of the ocean and the organic forms of the beach. To capture the movement of water, she utilised layered organza to create a weightless, ethereal silhouette, which she then adorned with intricate hand-beading to mimic the glistening surfaces of the sea. This project highlights her ability to deliver high-quality, detailed craftsmanship under rigorous time constraints while maintaining a strong conceptual narrative.
Graphic Design
The Project: Saskeya explored the theme of 'Tropical' for her final A-Level collection.
Demonstrating high-level proficiency in digital illustration and layout, Saskeya completed a 15-hour controlled assessment to produce a professional trio of holiday posters for Bora Bora. Using Procreate, she developed a cohesive visual brand for the destination, combining vibrant digital artistry with precise typography. This project highlights her ability to translate a 'tropical' thematic brief into a polished commercial format, proving her capacity to deliver high-quality digital assets under strict professional time constraints.
